SanskritEnglish“मुक्ताः सुरसंघाः विशन्ति प्रवेशो निर्गमश्चैव मुक्तानां स्वेच्छया भवेत् - इति हि ब्रह्मांडे ||” - The liberated enlightened beings enter the Lord. “The entry and departure (from the Lord's mouth)” for the liberated gods takes place according to their own devotion”, thus in Brahmanda Purana,

English21 "For, here are entering within Thee the hosts of Gods, some in fright, with folded hands, hymning Thy praise. The congregations of the great Sages and Siddhas (Perfectioned-Beings) crying 'All Hail!' eulogise Thee with abundant eulogies. (327)
Look yonder at the hosts of wisdom-loving Gods! In all devotion of love they are entering into thy divine Being, having burnt in thy spiritual splendour the seeds of all actions. And not a few seem to be frightened, who are turning towards you and offering devout prayers, with folded hands. They pray, "Oh Lord! we are fallen low in the great deep ocean of ignorance, and being entrapped in the snares of earthly pleasures, we have been trammelled in the cycles of birth and pleasure of heavenly paradise: who else but thyself would deliver us up from these? We resign ourselves wholeheartedly to Thy Will." They are thus beseeching you. Oh God, assemblies of great Sages and Siddhas (perfectioned beings) and masters of divine love too are on this side crying, "All Hail" and praising thy great name.

English'Amī bi tvām surasaṅghā viśanti'—When Arjuna went to heaven, he became familiar with the gods there. So Arjuna says, that these gods were entering the Lord's frightening form. All of the gods, are born of Him, remain established in Him, and again merge, in Him.
'Kecidbhītāḥ prāñjalayo gruṇati'—Hosts of gods, were entering the Lord's terrible form. The remaining gods, were much afraid of meeting the same fate. With joined palms, therefore, they began to utter the Lord's names, glories and praises.
Though the gods, being afraid of death, viewing the man-lion incarnation (which was within the cosmic form), were singing praises of the Lord. But to Arjuna, it seemed that these gods being terrified of the cosmic form, were resorting to praising the Lord, in His cosmic form.
'Svastityuktvā maharṣisiddhasaṅghāh stuvanti tvām stutibhiḥ puṣkalābhiḥ'—The group of seven principal sages, the sages living in the abode of gods and other great sages, such as Sanaka and Sanandana etc., as well as the gods, were extolling the Lord by means of sublime hymns.
**Appendix—**Deities (gods), sages and emancipated souls etc., all are the organs of the Lord's cosmic form. Therefore those who are entering the Lord's form, those who are terrified, those who are chanting the Lord's names and glories, are none else but God; and also He in Whom they are entering, by Whom they are terrified, Whose names and glories they are chanting
is also only God. This is the speciality of the Lord endowed with attributes.

Swami Ramsukhdas · Modern
The devas being exclusively from sattva-guṇa or the nature of goodness rejoice upon seeing Lord Krishna's Viśvarūpa or divine universal form and are awe inspired and enraptured.
Some among them were frightened by the Viśvarūpa terrifying aspect which was also wonderful and bowed down to it with folded hands offering eulogies of praise and prayers of supplication each according to their perceptions.
Other great souls such as the Siddhas or perfected beings who have realised the higher and lower truths utter the benediction svastity meaning may there be all auspiciousness.
The maharishis or liberated sages upon beholding the Viśvarūpa loudly resound the words Jaya Jaya meaning all glory, all glory and spontaneously compose wonderful Sanskrit hymns in glorification of it
while performing sankirtan or congregational singing of the Supreme Lords Krishna's Viśvarūpa along with His transcendental names, forms, qualities and pastimes.
