– In the combined existence of the form and the essence, the form is the resplendent Sri Devi, thus having been later.
– The unmanifest form of the Great Brahman is primarily the क्षेत्र - field. Sri Devi (Lakshmi) as the embodiment of pure consciousness, is spoken as eternally dear to Sri Vishnu. She never disintegrates, hence is the basis, foundation of immense potentiality for Sri Vishnu. Bearing superior to all जीवात्माऽ, she is expressed singularly as Sri. Energized by her, the Great Brahma, the best among the जीवात्माऽ, engages in creation.
Having said by her - I create जीवात्माऽ begets अहङ्कार, the form of 'I' from Shiva, intellect from Uma, the knowledge of the Word, mind from Indra, Skanda and Aniruddha, the touch to feel from Marut the son of Vayu, the eyes to see from the Sun, the tongue to taste from Varuna, nose to smell the pleasant and the unpleasant from Ashwin, Vak to speak from Agni, hands as the instruments of Maruts, the feet activated by the children of Shachi, born of the Sacrifice. Yama is Payu, since he expels, discharges the things eaten. Shiva and Manu being the progenitors are known as Upastha, the establishers. Since He removes the obstructions from people Vinayaka is known as Akasha, the space. Marichika, the son of the Primal Breath is known as earthly wind. Agni and Prithivi are the respective presiding deities for fire-principle and sustaining capacity of the earth; Yama, as the Lord of the Waters, is the presiding deity of birth and death. Five sons of Shiva are the presiding deities of Shabda, the sound etc. being associated with them. Primal Breath is known as happiness, Sarswati as vigour and Sri Devi as consciousness and will, being associated with those attributes. Like Saraswati Vayu's spouse is also known as vigour. According to the circumstances Sri Devi is known by other names as well, even though she is referred to as consciousness and will. Similarly the other gods as well, because of the circumstances of each case. Kali presides over misery and hatred; Dwapara presiding over hate. Both are born of the four-faced Brahma. Kali is more powerful among asuras. In this manner each of the deities is presiding over their respective attributes. All the animate and inanimate constituents are known as क्षेत्र, the field. Because it is the place of abiding (क्षिति) of the Resplendent Lord, it is known as the क्षेत्र. Or since at the time of the dissolution of the cycle He destroys (क्षीणीति) the animate and inanimate world, and similarly at the time of creation, recreates (त्राति), He is known as क्षेत्र. With modifications of the इच्छा the desire it is also known as the क्षेत्र. These modifications are considered as special because of they being the establishments of the distinctive attributes. The action creates something special, therefore, it is known as distinctive modification. The resultant object does not cause any modification or destruction of the original, therefore, with their association the will and the other modifications become the respective presiding deities. Since all these are seen by the Lord with flawless eye, and is known to energize them, Hari is known as the क्षेत्रज्ञ, the knower of the field.
- Even though the scripture says this self is the body, suggesting consciousness to the body, since it has also been said in idam shariram kaunteya, the body does not become the field, thus in Shabda Nirnaya Text. “satva is sometimes spoken as Jiva and sometimes Janardan is referred to as satva. satva as the attribute of nobility is also referred in other cases, thus in Paingi Scripture – “One relishes the fruit of the Peul tree, therefore he is referred to as satva”. Being manifested as one born, the Jiva is also said to have been born in the body.
- In creation Jiva sees destruction etc. associated with misery. “As the form of misery, the Jiva perceives his self and devoid of miseries he experiences the Lord dwelling in all Jivaas with attributes similar in all creatures, not being lower even when in the lower. He who perceives Sri Vishnu in this manner, to him, verily, there arises no delusion”, thus in Padma Purana.

English28 "For, perceiving with an even outlook the Lord who evenly abides everywhere, he becomes incapable of injuring the Self by his own self; and accordingly, he attains the Highest Goal. (1069)
This body is a bag filled with the three Gunas and the senses; It is a trio of the humours (phlegm, wind and bile) and an assemblage of the five elements and is bad and dangerous. It is obviously a scorpion with five stinging tails or five fires enveloping from five sides, or the shelter in the form of deer discovered by a lion in the form of soul. Abiding in such a body who would not pierce into the bowels of the non-eternal, the dagger in the form of the eternal knowledge (of the Supreme Self)? But one possessed of knowledge, Oh Son of Pandu, while dwelling in such a body, never permits the destruction of his own Soul, and at the end of his worldly career merges into it. After crossing over crores of births the Yogins, through their Yoga-practice, take a plunge into the unfathomable from where there is no returning as they claim,— that principle which is beyond the universe of beings having names and forms and also on the other side of the 'sound', and which is the inmost sanctuary of 'Turyāvasthā' (तुर्यावस्था - the fourth stage of meditation in which the soul becomes one with Supreme Brahman) and which is Supreme Brahman itself, and wherein come for rest the different goals such as emancipation etc, in the way, the Ganges and other rivers finally merge into the sea. The bliss of the attainment unto Supreme Brahman comes of its own accord to flash the feet of him, who making no distinction between being and being, conducts himself evenly as with his own self. As Light (lustre) is one and the same even in crores of lamps, the Supreme God abides everywhere. One, Oh Son of Pandu, who even while alive, experiences such evenness, is not fettered by future births and deaths. And, therefore, I extol again and again the unique fortune of such a one, since his vision is ever fixed on evenness.

English'Samaṁ paśyanhi sarvatra samavasthitamīśvaram'—The person who beholds the Lord, pervading the entire universe, the sentient and the insentient, the moving and the unmoving beings i.e., he realizes his identity with Him, does not kill the self, by the self i.e., does not follow a cycle of birth and death.
On the other hand, a person, who by identifying himself
with a body regards its fitness, sickness, birth and death etc., as his own, destroys the self by the self i.e., leads the self, to the cycle of birth and death. It means, that identity of the self, with the body, leads a person to a downfall and he has to follow, the cycle of birth and death.
In fact nobody can kill himself, as the self is indestructible. Moreover, nobody wants to make himself non-existent. In fact, to assume identity with the body, is to commit suicide; to degrade himself and put himself into the cycle of birth and death.
'Tato yāti parāṁ gatim'—A person (self), who by identifying himself with the body, had to take birth in good and evil bodies, by realizing his identity with the Supreme Lord, attains the Supreme Goal, viz., the Supreme Lord, Who is ever attained.
A Vital Fact
The Lord, pervades everywhere, every time, every person, thing, incident, circumstance or action, equally. If He is hard to be attained, what is easy to be attained? We can attain Him, wherever we desire. In fact, the seemingly existent world, does not stay even, for a moment. In the world, there is nothing but change. It is a mass of change only. As, when an electric fan moves speedily, it seems like a circle and its blades appear like the circle and they go out of sight, similarly, the world seems to exist and the Lord like the blade Who really exists is not seen. Actually it is only God who exists.
Did these bodies, which appear today, exist, a hundred years ago? Will they exist after a hundred years? If the answer is 'No', it means that they do not exist at present, also. The reason is that, whatever does not exist at the beginning, and at the end, has no existence in the middle also. But God, existed even before creation, will exist after dissolution and also exists now. Thus, the world is actually non-existent, while God exists always. But the world seems to exist, by ignorance, because of God, who is existent.
If delusion perishes, the world will not appear to exist, only the Lord will be seen—The Supreme is all' (Gītā 7/19). As in different ornaments made of gold, there is nothing else, besides gold, in the entire universe there is nothing else, but the Lord. The Lord, existed in the past, He exists now and He will exist in future. The only aim of human life, is to realize Him.
If a person instead of realizing God, gets entangled in the world, it is not human, it is beastly. This beastliness, is to be renounced. So a striver, should behold the imperishable Lord, in all the perishable beings. If he beholds the perishable and not the imperishable, he commits suicide.
In the Mahābhārata also, it is mentioned that he who in spite of being imperishable, holds the spirit as perishable, which of the sins has not been committed, by such a suicidal thief?
He, who beholds the Lord, pervading the entire universe equally, does not commit suicide but realises the Supreme Goal. But, he who, instead of beholding the Lord pervading the entire universe, beholds the universe and the body only, commits suicide, and instead of attaining the Supreme Goal, follows, a cycle of birth and death. So a man, should lift himself by himself, he should not degrade, himself (Gītā 6/5).
As a face, reflected in the looking glass, and an elephant, seen in a dream are not real, this universe in spite of, having no existence of its own, seems to exist. If a striver, has a belief that the Lord exists, and the universe only seems to exist, he will realize the fact, in the course of time. When a striver is at Vṛndāvana, he has not to remember this fact or he has not to fix it in his mind by constant repetition, but he has not the least doubt, about it. Similarly, if a striver assumes the existence of the Lord firmly, even though he may not see Him now, he will realize His existence, because the unreal has no existence and the real cannot remain concealed, for a long time.
**Appendix**—In fact in the twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth verses there is description of the Self (Soul) but because of the
use of words 'Parameśvara' (Supreme Lord) and 'Īśvara' (Lord) in these verses, the Supreme Lord has been described in the explanation (comment) because the Self is identical with the Supreme Soul (Gītā 13/22).
Link:—In the twenty-sixth verse, the Lord talked about the union of Kṣetra (Matter) and Kṣetrajña (Spirit). There are two ways to be free from this union—realizing one's identity with the Lord, and renouncing one's assumed affinity with Prakṛti (Body). The former, has been discussed in the preceding two verses. Now He explains the latter, in the next two verses.

The Supreme Lord Krishna is known as Īśvara and is residing samaṃ equally sarvatra within all beings. This includes devas, humans, animals, etc.
The word paśyati here meaning perceives denotes that the ātma or immortal soul is recognised wherever it may abide.
By thus comprehending the actual nature of the ātma one never degrades themselves and na hinasty never causes harm to oneself.
Contrarily if one insists on identifying the ātma in the same way as the physical body in the differentiating light of unlimited bodily forms one injures and degrades their eternal self.
This understanding saves one from acquiring karma or reactions to actions which is the main cause of confinement to samsāra or the perpetual cycle of birth and death.
By gaining this basic realisation one achieves the goal of ātma- tattva or soul realisation and then becomes eligible for param gatim the supreme destination and highest attainment.
